Let the sounds of the orchestra take you away with an evening of classical music by Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra in the beautiful Heritage Park. Dinner by Design @ Alberta College of Art + Design

Dinner by Design brings together internationally celebrated designers and local talent to create three-dimensional dining installations that awe, inspire and delight. These extraordinary dining environments — from the lavish and romantic to the outrageous and whimsical — set the stage for two days of fun and fascination. Tickets are limited and will sell out in advance. Reserve your tickets now for this year’s Cocktail Art on Thursday, June 2nd, or Gala Dinner on Friday, June 3rd.

Calgary Night Market

Friday June 3, 2016

Calgary Night Market features local entertainment, buskers, and a variety of authentic ethnic street foods at the Central Memorial Park. Listen to live entertainment, sample food, and do a little shopping. A Rose for Fort McMurray – Support our family in Ft. McMurray by purchasing a rose ($5 each) from volunteers at the Calgary Night Market. All proceeds will be donated to all affected in Ft. McMurray.

The 4th Street Lilac Festival

This free one day event is the start up to Calgary’s vibrant festival season! Come out to enjoy the unique and pedestrian friendly 4th Street venue, offering an array of musical talent, artisan vendors, quality entertainment and some perfect people watching. 4th Street is host to over 500 vendors that vary from artisan crafts, to imported wares, to community organizations and more!

Food tour of the East Village

Wednesday June 1, 2016 (every Wed until December 28)

There are several food tours happening in the city and new this week is the Eating East Village tour beginning on June 1 which will run every Wednesday until December 28.

On this tour you can try Phil and Sebastian coffee roasted to perfection, bread and a baked good from Master Baker and Food Artisan Aviv Fried as well as Charbar’s fresh healthy Asado – Argentinian grilled meat, seafood and vegetables along with a cool cocktail to toast this unique progressive dinner experience. This is a three-hour tour and costs $145 per person.
