Be sure to attend the annual event by Canadian Artists for the Poor where our local artists display and sell their artwork along Stephen Avenue! Artists who work in all mediums will be here, including painters, sculptors, digital artist, photographers and more. The majority of the proceeds from vendor registration is donated to various local and international charities. Don’t’ miss your chance to pick up a great piece of artwork and support your community! 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Let the ReggaeFest at Shaw Millennium Park transcend you beyond all boundaries!! Experience why this Calgary family event has become the premier summer Reggae Festival in all of Canada. Chill out with a brew in the Village, hang with the kids in the Zone, savor the flavours of island spices and see what souvenir you’d like to take home.

The Trico Homes International Fireworks Festival illuminates the sky with a colliding orchestra of light and sound. This is a festival of colour, music and rhythm featuring presentations produced by world-class pyromusical artists hailing from Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and the USA, culminating with GlobalFest’s own spectacular Finale presentation. / 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

The Badlands hosts one of Canada’s most iconic country music performers this summer. Paul’s music attracts loyal fans from all generations and the concert is sure to appeal to everyone! Paul Brandt performs on the Canadian Badlands Passion Play stage in August, at the amphitheatre that seats 2,700. Brandt has been performing country music since 1997 and has received eight Juno Awards and 13 Country Music Awards. / 1 p.m.

Sunday, August 21
Join your community for Sandstock 2016! This family-friendly event is an afternoon of live music, crafts and activities for the kids. The event kicks off with the artisan market, Foodville, and Kids Town – there will be a small obstacle course, a bouncy castle and more!! . For the rest of the afternoon there are live performances by Los Morenos and Locomotive Ghost. / 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
